Accounting Assistant - Bethesda, MD

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process Portfolio and 3rd Party Invoices in Payscan (GL coding, scanning expenses, vendor setup and W9 maintenance.
  • Match Checks to Invoices and Mail Checks
  • Codes Amex Excel Spreadsheet, Reviews Journal entry and Posts in Yardi
  • Prepare Chase Credit Card Spreadsheet and Post in Yardi
  • Process draw invoices
  • Assists with AR Posting Workflow with external consultants
    • Scanning of Deposits and Check Images
    • Downloading Lockbox Activity
    • Uploading Scans to Dropbox(external consultant file share)
    • Communicating with Consultants
    • Reviewing AR Batch Entry for Data Processing and Exceptions and posting batches
  • Scan bank recs and maintain bank reconciliation binders
  • Scan all commission paperwork
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting (or equivalent) required. Bachelor’s preferred
  • 1-3 years real estate accounting and/or an accounting experience
  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience a plus

Administrative Assistant - Denver, CO

We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial individual to support our successful and fast growing commercial real estate brokerage team in Denver.  This unique opportunity will undertake a range of administrative and marketing functions to help make our Colorado team successful. 

Essential Duties and responsibilities:

  • Word processing, spreadsheets and presentations
  • Assist with maintaining company database
  • Coordination with corporate office for new hires
  • Oversee office supplies and keep the office in clean and professional image
  • General administrative tasks (filing, copying, mailings)
  • Preparation, printing and binding of pitch packages
  • Design and coordinate e-blasts for listings, events and other company related communications
  • Manage ordering of all signage for company listings
  • Social media outreach and upkeep (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter)
  • Plan and execute all office networking events
  • Liaison with current vendors on all outreach and event coordination

 

Qualifications and Experience:

Property Manager (Manassas, VA)

We are seeking a Senior Property Manager to join Broad Street’s team. This position supervises and coordinates the daily operations of Broad Street’s portfolio. This position shares responsibility for maintaining the physical assets and the performance of assigned properties to achieve the highest possible net operating income, without compromising the quality of the property's appearance or level of service. This position monitors regulatory compliance and company policies and procedures related to property management.

Regional Property Management

  • Responsible for regular and positive interaction with building tenants through regular tenant visits in accordance with the company tenant retention programs.
  • Manage property’s cash flow relative to income and expenses
  • Provide budgeting and management of all aspects of property projects and scheduling which include tenant construction, repair and maintenance projects, and capital enhancement projects.
  • Closely monitor property accounts receivables
  • Administer, interpret and enforce lease provisions.
  • Manage property and engineering staff and oversee performance of building systems to ensure tenant comfort and economical operations.
  • Participate and assist in the leasing process from the LOI stage through tenant occupancy including “vacant unit reports”.
  • Perform property inspections.

 Skills and Experience:

  • 5-8 years commercial property management experience
  • CPM or RPA professional designation or candidacy preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing engineers, third-party vendors, and contractors.
  • Strong knowledge of Commercial real estate and property management is required
  • Strong computer skills including Yardi, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is required
  • Experience with property maintenance software a plus
